  2. In May 2000, I received letters and photographs from Joseph Whitsett Strickland of Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Strickland visited the burial site of John and Sarah Whitsett, and Mary and Josiah Perry on the farm of Ed Avery of Havanna, Hale County, Alabama. The graves of Mary and Josiah Perry were moved from their original location to the cemetery of the United Methodist Church in Havanna. [4]
