April 2008, Overlooking a farm on Saul's Run. The farm is located on or near land first settled by Cornelius Westfall and his son John H. Westfall and purchased by Cornelius in April 1830. |
The farm house on the left is probably sitting on the land that once belonged to Cornelius and John H. Westfall. They lived here in the 1830's and 1840's. During that time this was part of Lewis County. Today it is Upshur County formed from part of Lewis county. |

Westfall were among the early settlers on Saul's Run. In 1830 Peter and wife Nancy (Westfall) Cutright deeded 159 acres here on "a drain of Fink's Run," to Cornelius and John. (April 22, 2008). |

April 22, 2008, daughter Tonya and husband Joey Madia, by the grave and monument of William White (born about 1745 in Scotland), Heavener Cemetery, Buckhannon, WV. White was a pioneer, hunter, scout and notorious Indian fighter who settled in Buckhannon before the American Revolution. He was killed by Indians on March 8,1782 near Buckhannon. |

His wife Elizabeth (Wallace) remarried to Joel Westfall and was the grandmother of General Henry Fry Westfall, also buried in the cemetery |
