The family tree of Dr. William Heth Whitsitt taken from "Annals of a Scotch-Irish Family: The Whitsitt's of Nashville, Tenn. published in 1904

Descendants of William Whitsitt
Nashville, Tennessee

Much of the following information is from Dr. William Heth Whitsitt's, "Annals of a Scotch-Irish Family: The Whitsitt's of Nashville, Tenn.," American Historical Magazine, Vol. IX, Nashville, Tennessee, 1904. I have added additional information that was located during my research of the Whitsett family history. Dr. Whitsitt's history of the very early family was based records or the knowledge of Margaret Whitsitt Blakey.  It is reasonable to assume that Mrs. Blakey's information was passed on to her by her father and is probably reliable. See Samuel Whitsett of Ireland for some of that early history.
