DESCENDANTS OF ZACHARIAH WESTFALL

Zachariah Westfall was the son of Cornelius Westfall and Eleanor Westfall Cole, the grandson of Abel Westfall and Ann Bogart, the great grandson of John Westfall of Foxhall Manor and Mary Cool Westfall and the great great grandson of Jurien Westfall and Mary Hansen, our immigrant ancestors.  For this project I researched the line from Zachariah eight generations to Peter Boyd Westfall of Roane County, West Virginia.  Zachariah's line back to Jurien and Mary Hansen is well covered on other pages of the Westfall section of this web site.  I felt it unnecessary to repeat that work.  To follow the line back to Jurien please see one of the other Westfall charts.

This project got its start when I received an email from Angel White who was looking for her grandmother, Lessie Westfall White about whom she had no information other than her name and the name of her grandfather, Joe White.  A challenge like that sparked that old detective urge in me and I went to work.  It turns out that this line was very well documented in the records of West Virginia and the U. S. Census and in about a week I had the outline for this family tree.  I promised Angel I would publish on my site this family tree when my research was completed.  I was gathering so much information that I decided to end my work so that I could get back to other projects I have on hold.

I am certain that much more information is available in the records of West Virginia county court houses in the areas where this family lived.  Interested parties should take advantage of those sources if they wish to flesh out the several branches of each generation given below.

The small numbers in red following the primary name are source references for that person. Those can be found at the bottom of this chart.
