Harrison Grove Cemetery, Lewis County, West Virginia.  We were looking for the grave of my great great grandmother, Lydia (Wilson-Smith) Westfall.  She is reportedly buried here, as are other family members, but with the poor condition of the cemetery we have been unable to locate her grave.

The now abandoned West Virginia State Lunatic Asylum in Weston, W. Va.  In its day it was considered the state of the art for state run mental health hospitals.  It was designed so that light would come directly into each ward at some time during the day. It is the second largest hand cut stone building in the world second only to the Kremlin.  At one time James Clark McGrew, uncle of our great-great grandfather James McGrew Trowbridge sat on its board of directors.

Tonya in Weston, Lewis County, West Virginia.  This was the largest town nearest to where grandma Osa Westfall Corbett grew up.  The streets here haven't changed much (except for the cars) since she was a girl here.

Same street, same clock looking in the opposite direction

Tonya in front of the Lewis County Court House in Weston.  We stopped in to see if we could find any records for our Westfall family.  We hit the mother lode.  Unfortunately, we did not have the time to search or copy many of them.  Next time...

Another view of the court house.  The records room is straight down the hall on the left.  Employees in the court house were informative and very helpful.

Albino deer in Tonya and Joey's woods.  A callous hunter shot and killed this deer not long after this picture was taken.  What a shame that someone was so selfish as to want this unique animal as a trophy rather than let it live and allow others enjoy its beauty.

Jolie and Taz together for the first time.  Jolie's 4H club came to feed and exercise the animals at the animal shelter.  Jolie met Taz for the first time and fell in love with her.  Now the two are together permanently.
