Dad, 99th Field Hospital, Pisa, Italy, 1945

What 24 year old GI doesn't have pinups in his dorm room. In Dad's case they are the famous Vargas girls. As I was restoring this photo I noticed just above Dad is a photo of Mom. To the left is a photo of Mom with Art in her lap and me in a very small sized Army uniform. The photos of Mom in the center and the one to its left have been lost.

Dad's (and the Army's) ambulance, Italy, 1944 or '45,
99th Field Hospital, northern Italy

Dad's last assignment in WWII was as an ambulance driver for the 99th Field Hospital in Tuscany, Italy

Probably 1945, 99th Field Hospital, Northern Italy

1945, the Palio (festival and horse race) in Siena, Italy; Dad is the third from the right. There is a famous Stars and Stripes photo of a drunken GI climbing a pole at this event
